How do I schedule service?

What should I check before calling for HVAC service?
In an effort to save you money, run through this quick checklist first: (1) Check breakers and disconnects, inside and outside, to verify none are thrown. (2) Check your thermostat settings — correct temperature, system ON, and set to HEAT, COOL, or AUTO. (3) Check your filter — a dirty filter restricts airflow — and make sure it is re-installed correctly with the equipment doors closed. (4) If you have a gas furnace, verify the gas is turned on and there is plenty in the tank. (5) Make sure all registers are open and unblocked. (6) Still nothing? Adjust the thermostat a few degrees and give the unit up to 5 minutes to kick on. If the system still will not run, call (573) 785-6768 and our trained technicians will take care of you.

Family owned & operated since 1951
Buffington Brothers started with Claude and Vernon Buffington—a two-person shop in Poplar Bluff. Claude's son Stan grew up in the trucks and tools; around 1974 he and Mary bought the business from family and built it into a 40+ person crew serving residential and commercial work—with insulation, duct cleaning, and more added so neighbors get real comfort, not a single trade.
Today Stacy and Ryan represent the third generation, with a path to carry Stan and Mary's standard forward. Walk the office on the right day and you'll still catch the fourth generation—kids helping at desks and even out in the field—learning the same respect for customers the first three generations modeled.
